Honor Code & Integrity Policy
We teach software engineers how to build autonomous systems that manage real data, payments, and business operations. Engineering discipline and personal integrity are the foundation of everything we do.
Understand What You Ship
Using AI coding assistants is encouraged. But you must be able to explain and defend every line of code, state transition, and schema you turn in.
Zero Secret Leaks
Never commit production API keys, database credentials, or real customer data to assignment repositories. Use sandboxes and mock gateways.
Defend Your Capstone
Capstone projects are evaluated by real engineers. Submissions must pass automated deterministic tests and withstand human code review.
Collaborate, Don't Copy
Architectural debates and pair-debugging in community channels are encouraged. Copying another student's submission line-for-line is not.
1. Using AI Assistants Responsibly
In our academy, using Cursor, Claude, ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot, or local open-source LLMs is not considered cheating. It is standard modern practice.
However, our evaluation focuses on architecture and verification. If an LLM generated your code, you remain 100% accountable for:
- Explaining how your state engine handles network interruptions or dead-letter queues.
- Explaining why specific OpenAPI tool parameters were constrained by strict runtime schemas.
- Ensuring your agent never executes destructive database operations without human escalation approval.
2.Secret & Credential Hygiene
Never Commit Live Production Keys
Course repos must always use environment variables (`.env.example`) and local mocks. Any student who exposes live credentials, proprietary company databases, or customer PII in shared cohort repositories will have their repository access immediately revoked.
3. Peer Collaboration vs. Plagiarism
We run an active peer learning environment. We encourage students to:
- Debug Redis queue race conditions together in the Slack / Discord channels.
- Share OpenAPI spec design patterns and tool definitions.
- Conduct mock capstone reviews with each other before official instructor defense.
What is prohibited: cloning another student's capstone repository, rebranding it, and submitting it as your own. Automated static analysis and AST checks are performed on all final submissions.
4.Community Conduct & Professional Decorum
Our cohorts bring together engineers, directors, and founders from North America, Europe, Africa, and Asia. We maintain a zero-tolerance policy for:
- Harassment, discrimination, or disrespectful behavior in public forums or private messages.
- Unsolicited commercial spamming or scraping fellow cohort members' contact details.
- Disrupting live architectural teardowns or office hours.
5. Certificate Revocation
The AI Workforce Academy certificate signifies real-world competence. If we confirm that a credential was obtained through fraudulent submissions or impersonation, the certificate will be immediately invalidated on our public verification registry.
