The AI Builder's Pledge

Honor Code & Academic Integrity

We train engineers to build autonomous agents that manage real workflows, real money, and real data. Engineering discipline and personal integrity are non-negotiable.

Effective: October 2026•Version 2.0

Understand What You Ship

Using AI coding tools (Claude, Cursor, Copilot) is encouraged. But you must be able to justify and debug every state machine transition and OpenAPI contract.

Zero Production Secrets

Never commit production API keys, database credentials, or real customer PII to project repositories. Use mock gateways and sanitized seed data.

Defend Your Capstone

Capstone projects undergo automated contract testing and human code review. Black-box unverified submissions will not be certified.

Collaborate With Integrity

Architectural debates and pair-debugging in community forums are celebrated. Direct code cloning of another student's submission is prohibited.

1.AI Tools & Honest Accountability

You are building AI systems; you are expected to use AI coding assistants. However, delegating implementation to an LLM does not absolve you of responsibility.

During your capstone defense, you will be asked to explain how your agent handles Redis queue backpressure, why specific tool schemas were constrained, and how your 5-tier escalation circuit triggers. If you cannot explain your code, it fails evaluation.

2.Secret Hygiene & Sandbox Safety

Strict Credential Isolation

Course repositories must use sandboxed mock gateways. Any student committing live production API keys, database credentials, or real customer data into shared repositories will be immediately suspended.

3.Community Integrity & Certificate Revocation

Plagiarism, credential fraud, or harassment of fellow cohort members will result in immediate termination of academy access and permanent revocation of any issued digital certificates on the public verification registry.
